Any discounts for Senior Citizens or Disabled People ?
Holders of Scotland National Entitlement card for Senior Citizens and Disabled People may use their entitlement to free bus travel on our services

Do I get to travel free on the ferry if I have the National Entitlement Card?
No, unless you are also an Orkney resident in which case you will get four ferry vouchers, every year. Each voucher can used for a single ferry crossing.
Vouchers must be surrendered.

Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, we take most of the major cards including Switch and American Express. Sorry we do not take Diners.

Can I pay on-line?
Not at the moment, however payment in advance is not normally required.

Can you take wheelchairs on the ferry?
Yes, we can take wheelchairs - access is via a flat gangway.

Can you take wheelchairs on the coaches?
Yes if they fit in the luggage compartment.

Can dogs go on the ferry and coach tour in Orkney?
Yes, and there is no charge for dogs.

Can dogs join the Inverness to Orkney Day Tour?
No.

Is there car parking in John O' Groats?
Yes, there is a large free car park in John O' Groats.

Are there toilets on the ferry?
Yes.

Is there a toilet on the coach in Orkney?
No.

Is there a toilet on the coach from Inverness to John O' Groats?
Yes.

Are there refreshments on the ferry?
No.

How long is the ferry crossing?
Crossing time is 40 minutes.

How big is the ferry?
The ferry is 100 feet long and carries 250 passengers.

When is the ferry office open?
Open from 8am, 7 days a week, closes at 6pm (4:30pm from 3rd September).

Are the coaches non-smoking?
Yes.

Can bicycles go on the ferry?
Yes.

Can bicycles go on the Orkney Bus and the bus to Kirkwall?
No.
